Description of 1965 Lincoln Continental

This is an original 1965 Lincoln convertible. and originally a triple black car. No color change. Color code is "A" (black). and Interior Trim Code is "86" (black leather). This car was originally delivered to the Chicago. Illinois area. and was built on October 22. 1964. The car has a very solid body except some rust through in the floor pans and the trunk floor. Will include rear floor pans and trunk pan out of another car if buyer so desires. Door are excellent. which is unusual for 1964 and 1965. Fenders and quarter panels are also very solid. One scrape dent in left front fender. Original leather is all there. but needs replacing. A new black top is included in the sale price. uninstalled. The car is an excellent example to undergo a complete restoration. It needs a complete restoration to do it right. The car runs. but the carburetor needs rebuilding. There us evidence of a small wiring problem in the dash. as the heater/air conditioning face plate has some heat distortion. Windows and top are all there. but unknown if functioning. Deck lid has some rust. but nothing through the metal (see pictures). The deck lid motors work. but the entire system in not functioning. The rear gutter in the body (around Trunk lid). is excellent with no rust through. highly unusual. Dash pad and steering wheel are uncracked. Left rear bumper end is bad. rusted though.
