Description of 1984 Mercedes-Benz G-Class

VIN:46032217033504 Selling my 1984 G-Wagen. Perfect for the beach. lake house. hunting cabin or as the weekend ride. Custom rear cargo area is perfect for any activity and can easily have bench seats dropped in. Car is located in North Carolina. where it has been licensed/tagged/insured for the past year. Have a clean NC title in hand. Car was imported and originally from The Netherlands. Began life with a 2. 4 diesel. Engine was upgraded to the trusty Mercedes 3. 0 OM617 naturally aspirated diesel. If you are familiar with these engines. they run for ever. They are simple to work on and spare parts are everywhere. no computers (easy maintenance). The engine cranks up and drives good. Recently completed a 2 hour round trip drive with no troubles. 4speed manual transmission. This is not a speed demon. but low end torque is handy. Odometer reads 18782km but I do not know how valid it is and I do not believe it work properly. However. no issues with the speedometer. Installed a new $250 battery two months ago with more than enough power to handle this diesel. Body looks good with few dents. Paint was stripped down to bare metal and any rust was addressed that W460's are known for. Tons of hours spent getting rid of years of baked paint. Paint was sprayed black. Chassis is in good condition overall. This G-Wagen has had many updates in the past year. New parts are all over: center grille. new headlight covers (both). clear indicators. clear side indicators. front window seals and tires. New tires have less than 50 miles on them. 31X10. 5 Dunlop Mud Rover MT. Interior has new seats installed to replace the worn original seats. Seats came out of a Mercedes SLK and provide much more support (manual adjustments). Needs new lap belt as previous owner had them removed. Passenger window rolls about halfway down but does not roll easily up after that point. Not a $100k show car. but will definitely turn heads anywhere you go! Always draws a big crowd at Cars & Coffee. and an attention grabber! Sold As-Is with No Warranty. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs (domestic or international). See listing details for deposit and full payment terms.
