Description of 1973 MG Midget

1973 MG Midget in beautiful willow green with a tan cloth convertible top. This beauty has had its transmission converted from the standard 4 speed transmission to a very user friendly 5 speed manual gearbox. This gear box allows the Midget to drive with everyday traffic on our interstates. The transmission allows this Midget to drive for hours at 70+ miles an hour without sacrificing the engine to over-revving. Since the engine turns at much slower speeds on the roadway the engine will not be prone to overheating during use. I find this the best driving Midget you can own with this 5 speed gearbox conversion. Condition: This Midget has a cloth top versus vinyl. this midget has a claimed 7600 original miles on the speedometer. the engine is purr-fect. the body is straight and accident free . the interior has wooden (perhaps bamboo) inserts on the door panels along with the consol and a matching wood steering wheel. This car is from Alabama and NOT subjected to salt/snow on the roadways that have required many owners to perform rust repairs on their Midget’s. The undercarriage is as nice as the rest of the car. This Midget has color coordinated wheels to match the outside color of the car. The tires are almost new on this car and will give the new owner many trouble free miles of enjoyment. This Midget has just been serviced including carburetors rebuilt and synchronized. replaced spark plugs. check wires. set the timing and overall maintenance of the power plant. The car is ready to drive and enjoy. This car has had a color coat paint job applied since paint just does not last for 42years without fading and oxidation. This is the original color of the car.
