Description of 1920 Other Makes

I am selling for a private owner this very rare 1920 Maxwell 1. 5 ton Grain Truck from the former Ponderosa Ranch Theme Park Collection. This is an older restoration. It has been on display for many years. Supposedly ran before being put on display but cannot guarantee. The engine turns over freely with the crank handle. The shifting is very stiff. Have not tried to start as I would put some oil in the cylinders and crank it over a bit and maybe oil up the trans and work it a little until it frees up and becomes easier along with checking the diff. oil etc. Look over the gas tank and lines. carb as well. Has a very cool feature. a float in the crank case and a needle outside the pan showing the oil level. Paint is starting to flake a bit on the wood. The black painted metal areas are ok over all. but has some chips and blemishes. the largest being the driver side of the hood. a 2-3" diameter section of paint is missing like it chipped off. see photos on link. No rust issues. Missing battery. Some staining on the convertible top. Wood all in very solid condition. Tires are "Non Skid" tread and are ok. a little cracking. Has an exhaust valve. Seat vinyl is good. no tears. Glass is good. Brakes work. Clutch works. Has Hub wrench. The title declares this truck as a 3 ton though I think that is a mistake. Chassis # 14330Motor number # 275260This truck (now in private hands) was purchased by the Ponderosa Ranch Theme Park from Harrah's Collection many years ago. The title is a 1964 Nevada title in Harrah's name and signed by Harrah's releasing interest. It has not been filled out. You should be able to add your name to the title along with dating the Harrah's signature and eliminate any hassle of the owners between. This has worked the last time. If in doubt. do your homework and call your Department of Motor Vehicles. There are no returns. The title. as many old titles do. uses the motor number as a VIN. You could re-register it under the chassis number (better deal as motors sometimes need replacing right?) with an inspection and start a new title in your name and forget about this title as far as the Motor Vehicle Department needs to know. To see 158 photos including title photos click HEREPlease study the photos closely and ask any questions you have. Thanks for looking! A non refundable deposit of $500 is due via paypal within 48 hours of auction close. If you do not have access to a paypal. contact me . The remaining balance is due upon pickup. within two weeks of auction close. You can bring cash. or if you have a check you can send it prior to pickup. and you may pick up the truck only after check clears. You may also wire transfer funds to a bank account. But again. funds must be clear in the bank before you can have the vehicle. Every day after two weeks a storage fee of $50 per day will be charged. The truck is located in Incline Village. NV. The north side of Lake Tahoe. There are no warranties. what you see is what you get. I have listed everything I know about it. The purchase price will be reflected on the bill of sale given with the old title. Please do not ask to write a different amount so you can pay less taxes.
