Description of 1952 Packard 250

Selling my 1952 Packard May Fair Hardtop Coupe. This car was a birthday present two years ago.

All I can tell you about the car is that it was restored four years ago by a Packard expert for a driver.

The car had just over 70k on it when the body was removed and the frame and all suspension and various parts were powder coated black… All other parts were Cadmium plated like hinges and nuts and bolts along withnumerous misc. pieces.

On the underside the body and frame are like new with a very light coat of black sealer.

The suspension has all new rubber and rubber grommets…the leaf springs were all re arched and the car has Air Ride and a700R4 overdrive automatic transmission and was converted to 12 volts.

The Ivory and Black paintis perfect…no chips, dings or scratches or scuffs. Nearly all the chrome and stainless were re plated and polished without dings dents or scratches.

The tires are new radials and the white walls do not have any curb scuffs. The custom brakes work perfectly and all the brake and gas lines are new. The interior and headliner and dash are near perfect with no wear. The floors were sound sealed with new carpet that shows no wear. The upholstery inside the car and trunk is near perfect.

All lights turn signals and gauges work perfectly, but the radio was never converted to 12 volts.

The car runs and idles like a watch and the 700R4 transmission shift perfectly…but after sitting for several weeks, the car will not start. A local mechanic and friends say it’s the carburetor or timing.

I do not want to spend time and money to get car running and have no room for such a large car.

So, I am listing AS IS with No warranty of any kind or any funds set aside for any issues of any kind.

Please provide a $1,000. (One thousand US dollars), nonrefundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end.

Come and see the car and bid on it knowing it will need some work…but well worth it.

Please ask all questions before bidding…better yet, take the time to come see the car or have an expert verify quality of this car. If you want any additional photos, please do not hesitate to ask.
