Description of 1955 Plymouth Other Belvedere

1955 plymouth Beveldere 2dr post car. Built as a pro touring car with fabricated rectangular tubing frame,C4 corvette front suspension
9" Nodular housing Ford rear (Daytona pinion carrier} Trac Loc, 3.89 ratio and Strange axles. Brake system is 4 wheel disc, twin piston front ("Plymouth" machined in front calipers), Ford Explorer rear, 2 diaphram brake booster behind dash. Front and rear coilover shocks with triangulated 4 bar rear suspension.

Engine and tansmission: R5P7 Dodge NASCAR engine engine was built using JE Forged steet use pistons with a 10:1 compression ratio all new bearings and many new hard parts. Engine is dry sump oiling system with a Daily engineering pump and Peterson 12 qt tank. Engine uses a tool steel roller camshaft ground by Comp cams with there high energy profile,Jesel roller lifters, valve train and cam drive. Ignition system is a MSD billet distributor with a Crane NASCAR controller.Carb is a 750 cfm Demon air intake is through the cowl. Aluminum cross flow dual pass radiator with mechanical 6 blade fan. Exhaust is 3 inch SS with coated SS triY headers and Magnaflow SS mufflers. Engine detuned to run on pump gas and very streetable with great power.

Transmission: Tremec TKO 600 5 speed with a dual disc american powertrain clutch (hydraulic clutch) and machined aluminum shift handle.

Body: Built from a very solid California car (built in LA plant). The vent windows are removed and replaced with power 1 piece door glass, Grille sides have been lengthtened an front bumper lowered and tucked to fenders, Rear bumper shortened, moved in and tucked to the body. All badging and exterior handles removed. New double firewall for engine clearance and cowl air intake (internal water drains for air inlet box), aluminum inner fender wells and radiator trim. New trans tunnel and much of the floor to accomadate rear suspension. 21 gallon aluminum fuel tank with filler in trunk. Paint is MB silver and Chrysler cool vanilla PPG base clear coat.

Interior : Red leather, red Daytona weave carpet. Fabricated aluminum dash, Racepak Insturment panel, fabricated aluminum console with storage compartment,push button start, A, Sony sound system with marine remote on the console. Machined aluminum sill plates and interior trim. Remote entry and trunk release.

This car is very streetable and fun to drive with great power and sound, has won many awards including Builders Choice from Detroit Speed at the Charlotte goodguys show, it has been featured in Street Rodder Magazine (feature still available on the website)NO RESERVE
