Description of 1969 Plymouth GTX

Offering for sale a two owner and numbers matching complete 1969 GTX. 440 4 barrel fresh air hood, and 727 AT with the rare Silver metallic and Silver color combo. This car is a resto project where there are rusted out floors and rear panels. Here is the history, it has spent its life all in western Washington state, when in the early 1970's the owner changed the color to a blue metallic with black interior. Later he planned to repaint the car and he sanded off the paint but stopped and covered up the car with a tarp. This is how the condensation rusted the body. Realizing, that was a stupid move, it was sanded again and primed, and then stored indoors, where it has been since.

This is an 82 K miles car with an untouched 440 engine and AT, and 8 3/4" rear end. The fresh air hood ducting and aircleaner are in great condition. The grille and truck finish panel are in great condition. The original 22" radiator has been re-cored. Correct driveshaft included. Bucket seats are firm, and console is complete. Dash is complete with wood grain and 150 speedo. A drum brake car, and comes with 15 x 6 wheels. All glass and trim is in good shape. The side trim is oem, and in superb condition. The quarterpanel door jams are great, with no edge split (common damage). The deck lid on the car is rusted, but a very nice one (pictured) will be installed. Also a nice pair of 69 440 leaf springs will be included with the car. In addition other nice rear frame rails from a parts car also are included. May have the rear bumper cross member to include. Also in addition a spare nice flat hood is included. Car comes with a fender tag, but it is rusted, 95% complete.

The rust issues are pronounced in the floors and trunk and parts of the quarter panels. The hood is rusted in the webbing. The fenders have some rust, but by standards are not bad. The doors also are good. All questions on any specific rust or body issues will be answered through PM and postings.

Car is located near Everett WA for shipping questions, and is in an easy to load location. An allowance of 3 weeks is given to arrange any transport arrangements. Payment requires $500 non refundable deposit at end of auction by Paypal. Balance due in 7 days, and made by bank transfer or cash in person.

Car is able to be viewed in person, prior to end of listing, with ample notice. Car is stored indoors. Any omission of details is accidental. Assume all GTX standard items are with the car.
