Description of 1966 Pontiac Le Mans

1966 Pontiac Tempest OHC 6 cyl engine, auto trans, runs and drives exc. Completely stock and original besides driver quality paint job years ago. Body has be patched (all metal) in both lower rear quarters and lower front fender drivers side. Paint looks decent from 20 feet but has plenty of defects, chips, scratches, etc. rear body mount looks to have been repaired right rear. Floor are very solid, I evicted a mouse house in the front drivers side frame rail near the firewall, due to the the nest, there was some rust holes in the bottom of the frame there. The spot has been repaired but I have provided a picture of before any work was done. I have many more pics of the car upon request. The engine has been fully tuned and runs well, that said the choke rod is missing so you have to warm it up a bit before driving. Trans shifts perfect, drive train is quiet, drum brakes are in exc shape and work well. Tires have cracks and will need replacement to be safe. Interior is all original and in decent shape. Several seams have split in the seats as seen in the pics, dash is exc, carpets are original and decent but a bit faded. Headliner is nice. Modern CD player/stereo is located in the glove box. Chrome is decent, front bumper has a slight tweak on drivers side and doesn't line up perfectly under headlight.
While this is not a Sprint, I do have a complete restored Sprint set up (intake, carb and exhaust manifold) it will be available at extra cost to the winning bidder only. I will not sell the Sprint parts, along with spare motor unless I sell the car, otherwise the plan is to do the Sprint conversion next spring.
The OHC 6 cyl is far rarer than a V8 or a GTO and I hope any new owner would keep it as it is. I really hope this car is not used for a GTO clone, so if you are intending that, at least lie to me about your plans, LOL!
The car is located at my lake house in Maine but I will bring the car to Wakefield, MA. (just North of Boston) for shipping. I welcome inspection or test drives as it is currently registered. Any questions feel free to email, text or call Mark @ 617-538-7970.
