Description of 1992 Porsche 911 964

This Roadster is an enthusiast's dream! If you're seeing this then you probably already know about its rarity and the legend behind it. At just 250 America Roadsters produced for the 1992/1993 model years, his is one of the lowest production runs of any limited-edition Porsche. I have owned this one since 2001 and put less than 2,000 miles per year on it in that time. It has otherwise always been garaged. Originally a California car, t has spent it's entire life in the western USA. The previous owner(s) have taken as impeccable care of this beauty as I have!
Since the America Roadster was only offered in one form, ith the normally aspirated, ir cooled Flat-6, ne is assured of having miles and miles of driving pleasure (as opposed to the high, ostly maintenance of the turbo.)
Yes, 'm starting with a low opening bid but there is a low and fair reserve.
Besides the turbo suspension, rakes and wide body, his car includes the following features:
  • 5 Speed Manual Transmission
  • 17" Rear Radials
  • Chrome Rims all around w/Porsche crest on center cap (one rim has anti-theft lock)
  • ABS Brakes
  • Power Roof - fully lined black canvas
  • Power Windows
  • Power Locks
  • Power Mirrors
  • Automatic Spoiler (speed dependent)
  • Cruise Control
  • Leather Interior
  • 6-Way Power Driver's Seat
  • Rear Storage (behind front seats), hich individually flip up to rear seats
  • Custom "Roadster" Floor Mats (and original "Porsche" mats)
  • Snap-On Convertible Top Cover, lack canvas
  • Air Conditioning
  • Kenwood AM/FM/CD with removable face plate
  • MB Quart Speakers - front and rear
  • Factory Cell Antenna
  • Personalized European Front License Plate (metal)
  • Original Owner's Manual
  • Collapsible Spare Tire

Recent upgrades were for new batteries, there are two), ew belts and new oil lines from the tank to the cooling unit.

While this vehicle is totally operational and a blast to drive, t does show its vintage in the following ways: passenger mirror motor not functioning (probably a connection); air conditioner not functioning (probably needs freon. I've never turned it on until the other day); there is a quarter sized paint bubble on the boot lid (it was impossible to photograph); one rim has a small amount of chrome flaked off; rear speakers not connected; a 1-2" tear in the interior roof liner that covers the left hinge/support; a warning light falsely indicates roof is not secured when it is up; underside of front bumper is a little convex (see low-angle front photo); outside temperature indicator is stuck at -40f; AM radio reception sucks (probably not connected to antenna); windscreen has minor pitting but no chips or cracks. These are all of the issues I am aware of.

Last but not least, here was a low-impact accident in 2012 (I was in a line of idle cars at a stop light and the gentleman behind me accelerated, itting me a no more than 5-10 mph). All damage was professionally repaired. I have the CARFAX and will send upon request.
