Description of 1992 Saab 900

I am selling a very nice, 1992 classic Saab 900S, 4-door sedan. Color is Citron Beige Metallic, which is a silver color. Interior is beige. The engine is 2.1 liters, non-turbo, with a 5-speed manual transmission. Mileage is around 194,000 miles. The car is in excellent condition, ready to go anywhere. Car has never been wrecked, and paint is excellent. Body is very sound, not a rust bucket. Right cross-member sound. Only rust spot is on the right rear wheel well, whichshould be an easy repair. Interior is very clean. Rear seat hardly used at all. Front seat bottom leather is weak, very common on these cars. Have 2 very nice aftermarketcovers for them. Sunroof works, along with all the windows, dash lights, etc. SRS system inop, removed bulb. Very common, most likely the airbag itself. Not worth to repair, car is safe enough! Seat heaters do not work, very common also. Left headlamp wiper inop, needs a motor. Rides and drives excellent, due to the new Sachs shocks, ball joints, and tie-rod ends. Engine is tight, and the manual transmission is tight and quiet. No pinion bearing noise, grinding gears, jumping out of gear, etc. Probably one of the nicest and tightest 900s around. This was the car that put Saab on the map. These older 900s are just not seen anymore, most of the nice ones are gone. They are built like tanks and are very safe.
I bought this car from the original adult owners, who did not abuse the car. I purchased it2 years agoand did a lot of work to it.The only reason I am selling is that I have 2 children going to college, and I will not need this car. Here is a list of the work done to the car:
Cylinder head gasket and related parts
All coolant hoses and thermostat
Front engine mount
Alternator bushings
Spark plugs, cap, rotor
Rear main seal
Clutch assembly
Clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, clutch hose
Serviced gearbox with fresh oil
Serviced axle drivers with fresh grease
Fuel pump (previous owner)
Crankshaft sensor (previous owner)
Shift linkage block
New front and rear shocks
Ball Joints
Sway bar bushings
Tie rod end
Yokahama tires
New headliner
Painted the front and rear bumpers
Hood and trunk badges
Front brake pads and rotors
Rear brake pads
Factory AM/FM cassette (works)
Air conditioning overhauled
Original owners manual
Repaired central door locking
Repaired cruise control

Like I said, lots of work was done to the car. I work on these cars for a living, and did the workto please myself, and I am a bit picky! It has been my daily driver.I am asking top dollar due to all the work done. You would spend MUCH more than what I am asking if you bought one cheap and had all the work done. Car is good for another 100,000 miles plus if it is taken care of and driven with care. Not a bad price for a car thatcan go another 10 years easily.
I amstarting at$4,995.00 for the car, and will negotiate some, hence the "Best Offer" opportunity. No lowball offers, tire-kickers, and no financing, etc.Feel free to ask questions, and I will do my best to answer them. If you need more pictures, feel free to ask. If you have been looking at old 900s, I believe you will like this one. If you are the winner, $500.00 non-refundable deposit due immediately, fully cleared payment within a week, and you need to arrange transport and have it picked up within 10 days. I just do not want to be responsible forapaid forcar at that point.I will not release the title until payment has cleared my bank, no exceptions please. If need be, fly in, get Uber from the airport, and drive it home! Thanks for looking!
