Description 1967 Shelby GT500 Fastback
Listed on behalf of Monte Shelton.
Located in PORTLAND, OREGON.
VIN# 67410F8A02995
Completed by Shelby July 7, 1967 and shipped September 28, 1967 to Tallakson Ford in Seattle, Washington. It remained in the Tallakson showroom for 9 months, being purchased by the original owner from Seattle in June, 1968. Subsequently passed to second owner in Seattle in 1984, then purchased by third owner in Oregon in 1988 who owned it until 2018 (30 years.) Housed in a climate-controlled private museum setting during that time.
This car appears original and correct throughout. The paint is "Brittany Blue Irridescent." We knew the two most recent owners (going back 34 years of the car's history) and know the car has not been painted during that time. It may be original paint but we are unable to verify it as the previous owners are now deceased. Suffice to say, the paint is EXCEPTIONAL. See photos. NO rust. Undercarriage is clean and damage-free. Body is laser-straight. Excellent chrome and trim. Interior is original and also in exceptional condition. Deluxe factory wheels. Working factory AM radio, heater, defroster, tachometer. Shoulder harness seat belts. Roll bar. Folding rear seat.
Mechanically, this Shelby is spot-on. 428 Cobra LeMans V8. 355 Horsepower. Factory optioned with Extra Cooling Package, Competition Handling Package, Selectomatic Automatic Transmission with floor shifter. Power Steering. Power Disc Brakes. Runs and drives beautifully. LOTS of power. Engine is correctly detailed. Odometer shows 8,895 miles. SEE VIDEO of engine running.
This is one of the finest 1967 GT500's in the world today. No excuses. Needs nothing. Bring your experts to inspect it. Truly an investment-quality Shelby with a known history from new and listed in the Shelby Registry.
