Description of 1985 Toyota Land Cruiser

Truck is in great shape. I have owned it since 2006, nd have babied it. I have several posts of it on IH8MUD.com under kdeaton. I took it to Costa Rica, o use when I was on vacation down there. It was stripped, epainted, eupholstered, onverted to dual fuel Gasoline / CNG. The system is in there, ut has no tank. I took it out when I shipped back to the U.S. as a gas tank was considered Hazardous Material, nd add to that it would have to be certified by the EPA. So the system is in there, ully functional, ut with no tank. With the cost of gasoline being at record lows, didn't think it worthwhile. But the option is there to hook it right up. Doesn't affect the regular use of it at all.
After I got married, no longer travelled regularly to Costa Rica, o I brought it back here. However, t has fallen victim to the wife's getting rid of my toys. Besides, don't use it enough to really make it worthwhile.
I have recently replaced the head gasket. Replaced the hydraulic pump with a Saginaw. Put Tacoma wheels on it. It has a built-in radar detector, speaker stereo, WD works like a charm. It is not a fast truck, ike all old Land Cruisers, ut it will haul it's weight and then some, nd it will take on the worst 4 wheelin tracks. If you're going to do heavy duty offroading, 'd recommend lifting it and getting bigger wheels. The parts are readily available. The spare is an old steel wheel, o it doesn't match the other wheels.
If you have any questions, he truck is available for inspection. I will even take it to a local shop (~50 miles of 37122) if you want to get it inspected. But please coordinate with me. Don't just tell me to "Take it to Joe's Garage on Tuesday". I might be working.
I will work with your shipping choice. I can deliver the truck locally to a shipping terminal, r meet a car carrier. Again, ith prior coordination.
Any questions, ust give me a Holler. By the way, he N.Y. plates are because that's where I received the car when it was shipped back. I didn't drive it in the snow at all, nd I brought it shortly thereafter to the Nashville, N area.
