Description of 1967 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic

I purchased this Southern California Bug back in 2012 from private seller in Simi Valley, A. It had been sitting under a carport for many years. The body was in good condition so I decided it would make a great restoration
project. So, years later, ere she is! All work was completed recently in Ventura, A. She is excellent condition and ready to go anywhere. The speedometer is off by 6-8 MPH but she moves down the fwy at 85 no problem.

Here are the specs...

Engine/Transmission:

-1641 engine (does have an older bottom end - but everything else is new or rebuilt

-New baby Webber dual carbs - 34 MM - ICT carbs
-Fans fuel pulley
-Rebuilt transmission - 4 Speed Freeway Flyer

-Engine just tuned and valves adjusted

-Empi GT twin tip exhaust

-New battery

-Oil breather tower - CB performance

-Actual mileage unknown / carbs tuned/valves adjusted within the last few weeks

-Speedometer cable just replaced - has about 225 miles since restoration

Exterior:

-"Cal Look" style - black rubber all around with T-Bar bumpers

-1 piece windows

-New paint - 2 stage paint with clear coat - Stripped down to bare metal - sanded/blocked/buffed - Porsche 911 red (some chipping on top a few inches (see photo))

-New tech running boards - Empi gravel guards

-H4 headlight bulbs European style

Interior:

-New tan interior

-All indicators and gauges work

-"Retro Sound" sound system

-12 volt

-Same key fits ignition and door locks

-Rebuilt '58 speedometer

Wheels/Brakes:

-Porsche style Empi wheels and new tires

-Stock drum brake setup

The car has a clean title and has current registration in CA. This car is sold as is. The restoration was done beautifully and the car looks and runs great. However, t is 48 years old - so please take that into consideration when bidding

:)

Shipping will be the buyer's responsibility. I will be happy to assist with transporter pick and will be available for local pick up as well.
