Description of 1961 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

1961 vw type2 double door panel. original phsyical condition and patina with logo's intact. "TipTop Fried Pies" bus. It comes from west texas where it sat for many years. nbsp;. It is well preserved with very little rust. he only rust perforation is a small hole aprox 1 inch on cargo floor. both rockers have dime sized holes and the rear gate has rust on the bottom edge. The underside is solid with the belly pans intact all the jack points and outriggers are solid. The drive train consists of a excellent running stock 1600 w/heatexchangers. ew correct muffler. ype1 beetle trans. The gas tank has been cleaned. ealed and a new petcock installed. It runs and drives great and is very dependable. Passed nj inspection and has clear nj title in my name This is a list of new parts but not limited to: All brake components. wheel bearings and seals. shocks. wheels 7" rear and 6" frt. tires. battery 12v. all cables. starter. carb. rebuilt bosch distributor (vacum advance). Muffler. safari windows. repop door handles w keys. It has lowered spring plates in the rear and a 4' narrowed beam w/flipped spindles up front. The front floor was replaced and has a new repop mat. Original seat frames and springs w/new foam. small matching bench seat in the rear.
