It is time for us to part with our delightful 1972 Super Beetle convertible. After many years of fun, we no longer have a place to keep it. Yes, it's always been kept in a garage. Here are the details: 137,244 miles on the odometer --- Less than 5,000 miles on new engine. Yes, it has a new engine. * Professionally built 1641cc engine with new aluminum reinforced case * Weber 2 barrel carburetor * New Freeway Flier trans-axle and half shaft (stock trans-axle included in sale) * All new brakes and emergency break cable. Front brakes are disc. New Scat Elite series interior New Carpet New Convertible top LED taillights and Halo headlights--with eyelids New engine bonnet New Floor pans (not installed but you'll have them when you need them.) Many original parts included. So for those of you who know Bugs and are still reading, it must be because you luv them and know what some of that jargon means. We've driven this car every year we've had it. Its quirky quality that has been nothing but fun. There will never be a time you venture out in it that you don't get a thumbs up and smile from people you encounter. Its reliable and well tuned. That said, it is almost 50 years old. Even though that's likely the reason you want it, you will have an opportunity to put your own paint on it. The back seat was taken out to accommodate our dogs. (There are two tie downs installed. Our boys enjoyed it as any dog will but they did want to bound out before we were completely stopped from time to time.)
