Description of 1965 Volvo Other

1965 Volvo 122S sedan. It's a very clean, straight and original Georgia car with no real rust. A few minor surface spots with paint touch-ups, a couple of fish-eyes, etc. The trunk has one dime-sized hole above the rear bumper, and some POR'd surface rust. The underside of the car is clean. Chrome is all pretty good. The orgiinal hubcaps are not currently on the car, but all 4 are included and in good shape. All glass is present and uncracked. 102k original miles.
The interior is a non-original blue cloth, the original was red vinyl. I don't know when it was reupholstered. The exterior is an older decent repaint of the correct pearl white.
The car starts immediately and runs and drives very well, though it could use some fine-tuning of the carbs. I'm not a pro mechanic and I've just stumbled through setting them up with information I've found online. For the bad stuff, it could also use an alignment and front brake rotors. The car's heater is disconnected (broken valve) as is the window washer system (dead pump, removed the bottle for easier access to install the alternator swap kit) but all the parts are still with the car. Minor oil leak in the rear main area.
The car comes with a dealer-installed 60s vintage AC system that is not installed on the car anymore. York compressor, Lone Star underdash unit, and the required mounts and pulleys.
I've updated the car with two rebuilt carburetors with phenolic spacers, a SWEM alternator swap kit and GM 63 amp alternator (with a MegaFuse and a volt meter), a rebuilt SWEM fuse block, a Crane XR700 ignition conversion kit, KYB Gas-A-Just shock absorbers, IPD polyurethane rear bushings, stock front bushings, IPD swaybar links and bushings, and stiffer Volvo 164 engine and trans mounts. The car also has a new Bosch Blue coil, NGK plugs, Denso wires, and Bosch cap and rotor, clutch master and slave cylinders (with a new spring on the slave), brake hoses pads and hardware, the fuel system was redone including the pump and a boilout and reseal of the gas tank, new belt and hoses, thermostat, driveshaft and exhaust hangers, headlamps, balljoints, steering rag joint, rear exhaust section, starter, battery cables and battery, rear axle straps, and a new turn signal switch. Original parts like the old carbs, generator and fuse block are still included.
The car is a reliable runner and driver and I regularly take it to car shows and events near Madison and other places around the state. I've owned this car since 2015 and it has never left me stranded or failed to start. If you're looking for a first classic car, this would be an excellent choice, since parts are readily available and inexpensive.
The car is sold as-is where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. The buyer is responisble for picking up the car. Cash in person is only payment accepted. The vehicle is located in Caledonia, WI.
