1961 ALFA ROMEO 2000 SPYDER by TOURING. RED WITH BLACK TRIM AND TOP. 5-SPEED, TANDARD WHEELS. A REMARKABLE 74,621 ORIGINAL-MILE, -OWNER, LACK PLATE CALIFORNIA CAR. VERY RARE FIND.
Offered for sale, rom KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, s this exceptionally original Alfa Romeo 2000 Spyder. This car was recently purchased from only it's second California owner who owned the car nearly from new. It is extremely rare nowadays to find such an honest, ell-preserved original California car in such great condition, eing garaged every day of it's life.
This car still retains it's completely original interior trim in near perfect condition. This includes the original seats, arpets, ubber floor mats, oor panels and interior panels, ashboard, op boot cover, indshield glass, tc. The car is fitted with a replacement top and included is an older tonneau cover.
The car's body is exceptional, eing completely accident-free and rustfree, save for a few tiny bubbles on the rear of the rockers. The car received a single modest repaint over it's original red at some time in the past. It appears that some large chrome items (bumpers) were replated as well at that time.Mechanically, he car's engine turns over freely by hand and may have been rebuilt at some point. There are some leftover, aved, sed items such as timing chains, istons and rings, earings, askets, tc., ll evidence that the engine was refreshed...The car needs it's fuel and hydraulic systems recommissioned to get make it a nice driver again. The last time the car was driven on the road was 1997, bout 18 years ago.
This car should be preserved as is going forward, ith the most work cosmetically to be a quality respray, ut presents nicely as it is for now. It is a highly attractive, xceptional original car with a great California history from new. When compared to the rest of the market, this car represents very good value. Some minor mechanical work would yield a fantastic usable and comfortable driver as a beautiful, pen Italian Touring Convertible.
