Description of 1973 AMC Other Brougham Hardtop

1973 AMC Ambassador 2 door Hardtop, ith 360 cubic inch V8 and Torque Flight Automatic Transmission. This car has only 52,777 miles on it and it's all original. I'm the second owner of this car. It has been in Augusta Maine all of it's life and was originally sold by Jose's Motors of Augusta Maine. It's believed that this car was the Demo car for a year of Harry Jose. The car was put in a barn in 1992. It came out of the barn in 2010. It's paint is original on the roof, runk and hood, he sides have been painted when body repairs were performed. It's running and driving but needs a new exhaust system (possibly, ust a muffler). The Transmission won't shift up to 3rd gear properly. Otherwise, he car runs fine and has brakes too. Until the transmission is adjusted or fixed, ou shouldn't drive this on the road. This is a triple color car with a beautiful black vinyl interior with individual front seats that recline. The AM radio works perfect. There is some rust that should be repaired in the rear quarters and also the front fenders and rockers. The floors are not rusted thru. The trunk Lock is missing as the keys were originally lost by the family. This is a desirable color combination and engine and transmission combination. The wheel covers are in nice shape (bought on ebay over the years, cratch and ding free) and most of the lenses have been replaced too (whole tail light is NOS). It has brand new reproduction door sill plates. The car appears to have had the sides painted below the gold pin stripe at some point probably in the late 1980's. It's very hard to tell the color match to the rest of the car was extremely good. I'm only selling because I have too many cars. I've enjoyed this car taking it to shows and driving it locally. It's time for a new owner that will bring the car up to the next level. Headliner is perfect, he carpets are original and not faded at all. Door panels are fantastic, o cracks in the dash. The vinyl dash is smooth and soft and not dried out. The sun visors are all great and even the rear package shelf is not faded. There's a couple of small dents in the right rear quarter panel. The car also comes with a set of aluminum used rocker panel trim pieces for a 1971 Ambassador. No Reserve Auction, 00 dollars in 48 hours, alance in 7 Days. Storage charges after 60 days of 15.00 per day. Recommended that a the car be trailered to new home. Comes with a Title Letter from the State of Maine, aine doesn't issue titles for automobiles this old. Title letter is recognized by all 50 State DMV's

Additional information, Options, inyl interior, port mirror chrome on the left side, port steering wheel. It might have the handling package, think it has rear sway bars. No rips or tears in the headliner at all. Nothing is missing from the car, he battery and tires are only 3 years old. Another issue that will need to be resolved is that when you put gas in the gas tank, here is a leak as it fills in the filler tube. But it's not the tank leaking. Ambassadors all came standard with Air Conditioning, his will need to be serviced.

if there appears to be no interest in the car after a few days, 'll end the auction early and try to sell a different car. Only going to try to sell this once to make room for another car, have a few cars that I can sell. Owned this four years had it registered and on the road to take to car shows. So a title letter is available. I'm the second owner of this car. More photos are added to show the faults, amely rust in the fenders and un the rockers and at the tail end of the quarter panels. All of this is typical of a unit body car and of AMC's in particular. Fender patches are available and the rockers could be fixed, t's not a show car but a rare desirable AMC Ambassador in the hardtop form Finally, on't know if the AC works or not. Haven't tried it, ould guess it's going to need some servicing.

Here's a short video of the car on youtube, aken with a crappy cell phone cam on September 26th
