This Ambassador only has 52,778 miles, I’m the second owner. The original owner died in the early 90’s, this car has been in storage for most of the last 25 years. Hate to sell it but just simply have too many projects and need the space. I’ve driven the car on the road only a hundred or two miles to some car shows. Gorgeous interior, all black vinyl. Great carpet, dash and head liner. The optional 360 V8 starts right up every time. Needs a few things to make it road worthy, exhaust system replaced, adjustment to the Chrysler Torque flight automatic transmission, won’t shift from 2nd to 3rd. There is a gas tank leak from the filler tube so it only holds a limited amount of gas. AM radio works fine, body has had rust repair in the typical AMC spots, rear quarters and front fenders, you can see from the photos that the job needs to be redone. The paint is original on the roof, hood and trunk, the sides were all repainted at some point during the rust repair (at least 25 years ago) Some nice features on the car is the Sports Steering Wheel which was an extra cost option and wood grain dash. Padding is nice and soft and looks sharp. Door panels are in fantastic condition, all the chrome in the car is nice, door handles and window cranks. Dome lite works and the package shelf is not dry rotted, it looks very good. I installed reproduction door sill plates which cost 350 dollars 5 years ago. Also has NOS directional and turn signal replaced as well as NOS tail lights. This car needs to be taken to the next level, rust repaired and body work done...and mechanics and you have a fantastic collectable AMC hardtop. This car is in the State of Maine which is a NO TITLE State. A Title Letter will be provided from the State of Maine Department of Motor Vehicles stating that the car is free and clear and owned by myself. This letter will be accepted by any DOV or Title registration company or agency to create a Title. Maine like some other USA States doesn't issue title on vehicles this old.
