Up for auction is a 1969 American Motors AMX. Try to look past the surface rust, this car has sat at a California ranch for the last 30 years. Original low mileage. Bought from the estate of the second owner, who was a lady. She passed away in 2014. The car looks bad but it has the original paint, and is one of the straightest, most unmolested AMXes I've ever seen. The complete undercarriage doesn't have a flaw in it. No dents, no rust. The car still has the original 290ci engine, though it appears to be seized, but the good news is it's loaded with the 4-speed transmission, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, dual exhaust, 4bbl carb. Needs complete resoration, but will be well worth the trouble. Inside the trunk is in excellent condition. You'll notice some old bondo work on the top of the fenders and front of the hood. This was done a long time ago. Dents appear to be from heavy elbows and is easily repairable. Car is missing no parts, but some parts have been damaged such as the front grille, which is in bad shape. I had to make the decision to sell the car like it is because it deserves a ground-up restoration that I can't give it. If you'd like to discuss the car, let us know and I'll be glad to make my number available to you.
