Description of 1970 AMC Javelin |
You will not find this car everyday. Big Bad Orange Donahue Edition! The car has the correct 360 in it and runs extremely well. The exhaust is in great shape Tires are brand new rim are new too but the Chinese's stuff is already starting to rust. It's a crime! The front and back seat are all brand new. Good glasscompletelyaround. What keeps it from being a daily driver is second gear and the brakes. Second gear does not engage. The brakes work but are not solid/strong. The body of the car comes originally from Washington. So it wasn't exposed to the road salt of the mid west. The only patch on the floors would be on the drivers pedal area. There is some rust on the right wheel arch. The left quarter was replaced with an OEM quarter from another car. It had a dent in it. The doors have typical rust on the corners and the fenders look to be absolutely clean. The hood looks like the louvers were filled in. The chrome for them is in the trunk. It is missing the air cleaner and ram airplasticunder the hood. All the seat belts and misc. from the interior is in a box. It looks to be complete. Arm rests old panels weather stripping handles mirrors kick panels ect. I had the car running today and the oil pressure said 60 psi. It started right up. Goes into reverse real nice goes into first real nice too. The steering wheel is straight on.If you look at the Donahue spoiler it is curved at the outside edge and the bottom tips. Aftermarket spoilers are pointed. So this is the real spoiler from the day. If you look at the over spray on the inside floors it is all orange. So you can tell it was never changed. The bumpers are fiberglass. I have a set of cores that will need to be re chromed. I also have a fender panel I was going to weld into the arch. That can go with the car too. Call me if you have any further questions. Thanks TimMpls MN763-245-6507Central Time Zone |
