This is our second listing on our 28 year old car with no major body rust and the underguard schutz gard is intact and a new lower (130,000) mileage 5-cylinder 7A engine that we put in 3 years ago and driving it since then. The reserve has been lowered to a price that is reasonable for all the extras you are getting and we even were tempted not to sell it because we love it so much but too many car projects at one time can be a problem too. (We took the second engine off the listing as we may rebuild it in the future to build a 800 hp turbo Coupe Quattro but if you really want it we can talk.) The vehicle is very rare with the estimated figure of less than 1,000 imported to the USA. A blast to drive, and is solid at high speeds. If you want the full story on this engine (car) go to the YouTube video and search for "Audi Sport:A legacy in 5 cylinders" and it will make you smile because this engine is has such a distinct sound that is incredible. This being said, it is important to not start bidding until you know what you are getting into with this rare original pearl blue legendary 20V inline-5 Audi. (www.20V.org/specs.htm#engine) The car starts now but needs a new ignition starter switch, i.e. you have to rotate the steering wheel to start it. This includes the full Bentley manual. It also includes a new used front driver body panel for the one that is dented. Good Points: 1) New $180 Bosch starter, 2) New $120 770 CCA battery, 3) New $300 Cooper studded snow tires on 14" Audi alloy rims, One season old Summer Tires 4) New front tie rods and bushings, 5) New $200 Bosch alternator - 110 amp, 6) New clutch plate and clutch pilot bearings and resurfaced flywheel within last 20,000 miles. 7) Locking rear diff. 8) Another set of front grey leather matching seats. 8) Heated seats that work and look nice for originals (we pulled out of good matching car) . 9) New Brembo brakes and calipers in rear. 10) new OEM muffler that we rust coated. Note this was hard to find. 11) Leaky fuel tank supply nipple repaired with metal putty bond for fuel tanks. 12) $100 Bentley 80,90, Coupe,Quatto - 1988 to 1992 Official Factory Repair Manual with 20-valve models. 13) Box-o-Audi parts - heater blower, extra radio, switches, relays, etc. 14) $110 - 1 of 4 new lower body panel moulding. 15) Your have all the body parts even thought the front and rear bumpers off another car and white. 16) All the power windows and the sunroof work.Bad Points: 1) Dash lights and plate lights out, 2) Leaky trunk seals, 3) Door/ceiling liners are OK but starting to delaminate. 4) Faulty radiator high temp switch goes off when car is started but in 30,000 miles never overheated and you the thermostat stays cool. Troubleshot the three wires but never figured it out even with the Bentley wiring diagram. 5) Rear driver side control arm bushing needs to be replaced. 6) Lower body panel molding is gone but you can get it through Bus Depot with the VAG part# from Germany. 7) Small dimple in windshield out of line of sight and passed inspection, has not grown. Contact us for video of it running or any other specific questions but if you are a seasoned Audi enthusiast or newcomer we are ready to work with you. We will deliver up to 200 miles from 03449 for $300 extra. We just drove this 300 miles home from Maine but with tough starting, stops are tough unless you do not turn off the car. It is currently legal and inspected. This is a great New Year's project car that with the right owner who is ready to get it painted will really turn some heads. We are not going to make second chance offers so if you are getting a tax refund think about this car again. On Dec-20-18 at 12:27:08 PST, seller added the following information:
