BODY NUMBER #6181 CAN BE FOUND ON THREE OF THE COCKPITMOLDINGS. I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN FRISCO, COLORADO ABOUT 30 YEARS AGO ALONG WITH A BN2 THAT I RESTORED. SOMEONE (NOT ME) CUT OUT BOTH FRONT INNER FENDERS FROM THE FRAME. I HAVE BOTH NEW LEFT AND RIGHT INNER FENDERS FOR IT. SEE PICTURES. YOU WILL HAVE TO WELD THESE IN. THE RADIATOR SUPPORT IS GONE AND I DO NOT HAVE ONE. RADIATOR SUPPORTS CAN BE BOUGHT NEW OR BUILT FROM STEEL MATERIALS THAT CAN BE EASILY LOCATED. THE RADIATOR DOES NOT LOOK ORIGINAL. REAR DIFFERENTIAL AND ALL SUSPENSION IS ORIGINAL. ORIGINAL 15" 48 SPOKE WIRE WHEELS. THE DASH IS THERE BUT THE SPEEDO AND TACH ARE NOT ATTACHED AND WILL BE SHIPPED IN PLASTIC BAGS. THEY ARE FAIR CONDITION BUT NEED WORK. SPEEDOMETER TURNS BUT TACHOMETER IS SEIZED! SEE PICTSTHE FRAME AND FLOORS ARE MOSTLY SOLID BUT LOTS OF RUSTED AREAS ARE PRESENT ON THE BODY. THE FLOORS ARE SOLID. THE FRAME IS SOLID EXCEPT THERE ARE A FEW PINHOLES THAT CAN BE FOUND. BODY AND FENDER RUST REPAIR PANELS WILL BE NEEDED. FRONT COWL IS CUT!!! NO CUTTING WAS EVER DONE TO THE ENGINE MOUNTING.ENGINE IS BOLTED IN PLACE WITH 2 BOLTS. THE CRANKSHAFT AND 4 PISTONS TURN OVER COMPLETELY BUT THE CAMSHAFT ONLY TURNS TO A POINT WHERE ONE OF THE LIFTERS (FOLLOWERS) IS STUCK. NO TIMING CHAIN. THE TRANSMISSION TURNS FREELY BUT I HAVE NOT INSPECTED IT. ALL OF THESE PARTS WERE STORED IN A DRY GARAGE BY MYSELF AND THEIR PREVIOUS OWNER. CRANKSHAFT HAS BEEN MACHINED TO .010 I PULLED ONE ROD CAP TO MEASURE IT THEN PUT THE CAP BACK AND THE OIL PAN. THE OIL PUMP PICK UP SCREEN IS DAMAGED FROM THE ENGINE SITTING WITH THE OIL PAN OFF. CYLINDER HEAD NEEDS VALVES AND ROCKER ASSEMBLY. I PLACED THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION IN PLACE FOR SHIPPING PURPOSES. BOTH THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION WILL NEED LOTS OF WORK AND PARTS BUT YOU WILL HAVE A START WITH THIS ORIGINAL NUMBERED ENGINE.I TRY TO BE AS COMPLETE AND HONEST WITH MY DESCRIPTION AS POSSIBLE BUT IF I HAVE MISSED ANYTHING PLEASE ASK BEFORE BIDDING.
