Description of 1958 Austin Healey 100-6

Now at age 76, after many years of restoring and driving old race cars, we have sold two of our shop buildings, and many of our cars, and I am being encouraged to sell most of my cars, and huge stock of Vintage parts.

Just out of storage, this Big Healey FRAME is for sale at our shop, and this listing may be ended at any time (unless bids have been placed).

We could have put a Buy it Now, but didn't because eBay requires it to be too high in relation to our low starting price,

however ANY reasonable offer to end this listing early

with a "Buy it Now", will be considered(unless bids have been placed).

We have owned several early Big Healeys over the years. We have had this 100-6 FRAME for many years, along with numerous other 100-6 part, such as a rear clip, a cowl with dash, front disc brake assemblie, engine blocks, heads, and other parts that we will be listing…
Hard to find one in as good condition that is reasonably priced...…... complete with fittings for brake line, steering, etc. Solid side rails. Outriggers need some repair, as well as the bottom of one front frame horn, and the bottom of X member needs repair. The side of the X are solid, making the bottom repair easier. Fortunately, this was never undercoated, saving LOTS of restoration time and effort
Before we put the frame into storage, we cleaned it and gave it Eastwood treatment. You will see a few 1" round holes that we used to pressure-flush the inside of the frame. They also confirmed to us that the bottom of the main rails were solid, and would give us later access to treat the inside of the frame when we began restoration . The frame is NOT painted...except where the factory red paint show, the black is all the result of Eastwood treatment.
Some small bits of body sheet metal that are welded to the frame have not been ground off, and once that is done, along with the aforementioned repairs, I think this frame will save both money and time in restoration of any Big Healey with a rotted chassis.
All the suspension points are solid, and the alloy inserts for the steering components are in place, as are both rear spring assemblies.
This is a FRAME Only, and of course there is no Title.
