Description of 1957 Austin Healey 100-6

Up for auction is my 1957 Austin Healey 100-6 2+2 roadster. The car is an early Longbridge BN4 and has all the options that were available from the factory, including (chrome) wire wheels, adjustable steering column, windscreen washer, heater/demister, overdrive, laminated windscreen, and factory works hardtop with stand. It is numbers matching and even includes the original keys and British Motor Heritage Certificate stating the same. The car was originally Ivory White with Black trim, and currently sports the striking color combination of Black over Red coves that would have been available back when new in a two-stage paint. It has a few modern upgrades such as alternator and the switch to negative ground, high-torque starter, aluminum radiator, 3.54 rear gears, and still has the tool roll and original jack with the correct date stamp. The parts that were replaced come with the car so it could be returned to factory original if desired. The car has won many awards since it was put back on the road after a 3-year rebuild. It took first in its class at the International Austin Healey Conclave in 2018, and has made an appearance in the AHCA Healey Marque magazine.
There are many tasteful upgrades such as a pair of original Lucas 576 lamps, one a driving light, the other a fluted-lens fog lamp, luggage rack, wind wings, and the full tonneau, soft top, and of course the hard top which is exceedingly rare. Also included are both the original, correct and restored early side curtains. Both full bumpers also come with the car, although I like the look of the Sprite rear bumperettes and no front bumper. I am also including a fully rebuilt and ready to install second head that has been magna fluxed, decked, with new valves, seals, guides, stainless seats, new rocker bushes and rocker shaft, and another new tunnel carpet as the one in the car is starting to fade.
Keep checking back as I will be adding more photos in the next few days. The car is not perfect as I drive it almost daily and there are still things to do and maintain, but it is a real head-turner and is a fine example of these fun motorcars. Thanks for looking and good luck!
