1975 BMW 2002. originally a rust free California car with excellent interior and dash that underwent a 3 year complete ground up restoration using OEM parts. plus some discreet modifications that make this car better than new. The list of new parts is too extensive to list here. but basically all rubber. chrome. most fasteners either replaced or re-plated. NOS Getrag 5 speed transmission upgrade. complete new factory upholstery. headliner. wool carpet. trunk liner. seat belts. etc. The engine was professionally rebuilt by one of the US’s premier BMW specialists using factory parts throughout plus a few upgrades to boost the HP and performance. Upgrades include Schrick 292 with MaxSil pistons. Tii manifold. Weber 38/38 carb. complete new top end. chains. everything – the view under the hood is almost better than the outside as it has been show-finished. Body was stripped of every last part. hand stripped. and done right with Glasurit factory Anthracite grey metallic. complete in and out by a classic car and Ferrari restoration specialist near Chicago. As for the running gear. bigger brakes. some modest tweaks to the suspension including slight lowering Eibach spring kit. sport Bilsteins. negative camber plates. oversized sway bars. staggered 15” BBS 3-piece wheels and a 3. 9:1 LS differential make this car sporty and responsive. Only 4. 75 miles since this restoration was completed in 2009. garage kept. driven only in good weather. Complete set of receipts and the factory 2-volume repair manuals are included with this car.
