Description of 1975 BMW 2002 |
Here's a sweet little classic that has tons of character. This bright orange, smog-exempt gem of a car is as enjoyable to drive as it is to look at. So fun, we drove it every day! It is equipped with a 5spd Getrag transmission. This allows you to accelerate quickly and cruise with the speed of traffic on the freeways. No slow lane here! A new, high capacity radiator from a 320i, keeps things cool, under load, up hill, during traffic, even on the hottest days of the year. Bilstein shocks create a ride that is smooth, comfortable, and compliant, all while inspiring confidence... Making cornering fun and deliberate! We also recently replaced the center support bearing and Guibo (the thing that connects the drive shaft to your tranny), installed a brand new starter, and new radiator hoses to keep it reliable. It even has a stealthy push button start installed for added security. No one wants a slug, so we installed engine performance mods like the Webber 36/38 downdraft carburetor and the Stahl 4 into 1 vintage headers and exhaust system, making the car 'zippier' to drive. Hella H4 headlight conversions are a huge improvement over the sealed beam units. It comes with a full set of 14" bmw 'bottle cap' wheels (the spare is on the car). Front seats need to be replaced (with something cooler), and the paint on the hood is bubbling. There is some rust, which is typical for a car of this vintage. The car's registration is current till November. Be ready for thumbs up every where you go!
