Description of 1976 BMW 2002

NO RESERVE!
The odometer shows 9,679 miles and is believe to have turned over once. The odometer is not function however.
I believe the car needs a new starter and battery. Otherwise it was running fine up until about a week ago. Great opportunity to restore a classic.
This 1976 BMW 2002 Automatic comes from near the end of 2002 production and is on offer by its third owner. This 110k mile example was in California until about a year and a half ago. The car runs and drives well, however needs a new battery and I believe also a new starter. It was running very well until I killed the battery and maybe even the starter by trying too many times to get it to start when recharging the battery. This 2002 is sold with a clean Washington title.
The paintwork is original and there appears to be no body work done on it. There is definitely some surface rust, especially on the roof, hood, and trunk.
