BMW E3 3.0 Bavaria with M5 3.5 engine!

One of a kind! A beautiful BMW E3 / Bavaria fitted with the engine from a BMW E34 M5 3.6. That means: 315 PS and a 5-speed transmission in a 70’s BMW Limousine!

This BMW E3 was First registered in march of 1972 and is the base car for this beautiful project. The previous owner just bought one of the best E3’s on the market as a base car for his project. This Polaris silver Bavaria, a very beauituf and highly original car, with factory sunroof! The car was sanded down to bare metal and has been completely repainted after that. This has been done beautifully and professionally. Afther the gorgeous paintjob the car was built up with many new parts such as bumpers, headlights, rubbers, and new taillights. Most of the parts are either brand new or in a very good condition. The car makes a like new impression. The carpets and the headliner have been replaced as well. The sportseats from a BMW E28 have been professionally reupholstered with the matching fabric, like the rear seats. The original seats come with the car and are in a brand new condition.

The engine in the car comes from a BMW E34 M5 3.6L. Before it was mounted in the car the engine has been completely rebuilt. For the conversion the body of the E3 has not been changed, so mounting the original engine would cause no problems. This ‘S38’ engine has been fitted with a programmable engine management system. The sound from the 6 butterfly-valves through 6 K&N open filters is just amazing.

After that the car was fitted with new Bilstein suspension. Uprated brakes with ventilated rotors and restored 16 inch Alpina wheels. A 25% Limited-Slip-Differential has been fitted as well. Via a 5-Speed gearbox and a brand new clutch the power goes to the rear wheels.

The restoration and engine swap has been done at very high level without keeping costs in mind! No expense spared! Unique and one of a kind! The car even has it's original service book, owner's manual and Europe service addresses book.
