Description of 1988 BMW 5-Series Sport |
If you see this ad here then the car is still available. This 1988 BMW 535is is finished in Cinnabar Red over black leather and powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with an automatic transmission. The car was acquired two years ago, with recent service including reupholstery of its powered sport seats in February 2019 and a valve adjustment four months ago. This E28 is offered with an original window sticker, stock wheels, 30 years of service records, a clean Carfax report. The body is finished in Cinnabar Red (Zinnoberrot 138) with black trim and a rear spoiler. The condition of the paintwork is in excellent condition shown up close in the gallery never any rust. The hood and lower air dam have been recently repainted. The car has been garage-kept most of its life. The stock wheels have been replaced with 15″ Style 5 basketweaves wearing 205/60 with new Falken tires all around. The factory TRX wheelset and original tires are included in the sale. The passenger-side power mirror is not working, and trunk lid springs are present but not hooked up. (I don't know how to hook these up). The black leather interior includes power-adjustable 10 way sport seats that were reupholstered in February 2019. A period correct BMW head unit radio. The air conditioning system is ice cold. The 6-digit odometer indicates 137k miles with only 1,000 miles since full engine rebuild. Two very small repairable cracks on the top of the dash, discoloration on the C-pillar, and a loose and non-functioning cruise control stalk. Everything on this car works. The 3.4-liter M30 inline-six is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. A valve adjustment was carried out four months ago. Recent air conditioning service, injector service with new O-rings as well as installation of a new radiator hose and spark plugs and new brake pads. All 4 wheel alignment just completed. New control arms. New brakes. Also available is an M30 manual transmission with a 528e manual donor car for an additional cost.
