1975 BMW 2002 5-Speed

This BMW features a 2.5l inline six from an e30 325i backed by a Getrag 5-Speed manual gearbox.The conversion was undertaken on a clean, California-sourced car by the previous owner over a lengthy period starting in the mid 2000s.

The swap is centered around a kit from Precision performance, and the car has been upgraded with Ireland Engineering suspension and uprated brakes to help handle the extra power.

The paint-match is consistent throughout, and the whole car was wet sanded and buffed before the new bumpers and trim were installed.

Panel gaps are consistent and the trim is all new, including the beltline, rocker, and window trim.

The newly fitted European market bumpers fit snuggly with the bodywork front and rear, without the large gaps created by the US market bumpers and the associated bumper shocks. The bumpers are brand new, and the chrome has a deep, shiny finish.

The original four cylinder engine has been replaced witha 2.5l inline six from an e30 325i backed by a matching five speed transmission.

The timing belt, water pump, and numerous ignition parts werealso replaced by the seller within the last 500 miles.

The radiator is a Euro 323i unit which is designed for the M20 engine in a smaller car. It is set up with a large electric pusher fan mounted in front.

An adjustable fan control with relay is mounted on the radiator support which signals the fan to turn on at your desired temperature. It does not overheat under any conditions.A limited Slip Differential is installed.

This car was originally from L.A. and still wears the “GT International” license plate frame: A well-known independent BMW shop that serviced it until it moved to the East Coast.
