Description of 1959 Buick LeSabre

You are bidding on a 1959 Buick Lesabre 2 Door Sedan out of my personal collection. If you are in the market for a 59 Buick, ou know these are incredibly hard to find. The aggressive front end is becoming very popular and the 2 doors are tough to track down! I have owned the car forapproximately 2yearsand I am starting to build out another project so this has to go. I purchased the Buick from a gentleman in Texas who drove it everywhere! I saw the car online and had to have it and after agreeing on a price I shipped it to PA where it currently is.
The car is a great driver. I took as detailed pictures as I could showing the condition of the car. The following is a overview of each aspect of the Buick.
Exterior:
Body: The body of the car is in great shape for being 55years old. The car is very straight as you can tell by the pictures. It has been painted amatte black in a "driver" quality paint job. This is no show quailty paint job butdefineltyserves itspurpose. The hood has beenlouvered togive it a even more aggressive look (very quality job.) There is only one small area of previous rustdamage and that isinfront of the passenger rear wheel (i have uploaded pictures showing this.) This would be a easy sheetmetal fix if you decided to paint the car down the line, ot a big item of concern.
Trim: The car's trim is all there. 90% of the trim is in great shape with a couple of the rear finpieces showing small dings and dents but everything is there. I also have the under hood trim that i willship with the car. The front and rear bumpers could use a good polish but no pitting or rust of any sorts.
Glass: The front and rearwindows are in great shape and nocracks or chips etc (good news, hese would be hard to replace. ) The rear passenger glass has a crack (flat glass) along with a very small crack in the rearpassenger side glass and the front vent window glass. Please view pictures below.
Wheels and Tires: The wheels are bare black wheelswith polished trim rings and bullet center caps. The tires have had some use but have a good bit of life left.
Suspension: Thebuick factory suspension features astatic drop to give it that awesome stance.
Lights: Headlights, aillights,turn signals areoperational.
Frame: The frame is very solid with no rust.
Floor Pans: The front floor pans are solid. The rear floor pans have had some rot the pervious owner secured new metal tothe floor so the rear seats are usable.
Interior:
Dash: The dash is in great shape and is gray in color.Seats: The seats have recently been recovered in black and are in great shape with no tears.Carpet: Newly installed in black.Gauges: Working -- oil, oolant Not working - Speedo, as, ear selector, fans, adio (all there though)Door Panels: The door panels are original and in fairly good shape. You can see in the pictures thatthe tops are worn where the driver/passenger's arm would of been resting.Headliner - No headliner installed
Mechanical:
The car drives great.Truly a "driver" Buick. The engine idles great, nd cruises fine. Like I said, he previous owner drove this careverywhere! Ihaven't been as fortunate but have put somemiles on it in the last few weeks and its a great cruiser. The brakes are the factory drums and work as expected. Thelesabrefeatures the 364 Wildcat engine with a Carter 2 barrel carb. There is no power brakes or power steering on this Buick.
The car is ready to go with a new fuel pump just installed and the transmission fluid changed. The only thing I would change if I were keeping it would be the front suspension joints. They are still functional and have had no issues driving. From theundercarriage pictures you can tell that the bearing seals have been worn.Don't worry, am including brand new upper and lower ball joints, ire rod ends for the Buick. This job is verymanageable to a mechanic.
This car has its normal leaks. A smallamount of oil coming from theengine pan gasket. Nothing alarming or uncommon but I will not tell you it does notleave any drops on the floor. (if anyonetry to sell you a classic car and tells you that, hey are lying).
Please taketime to look at the photos. The car is being sold as is where is with no implied warranty. You are more than welcome to contact me with additional questions or request. This is a great 59 buick that needs to go to someone who will drive it!
