Description of 1987 Buick Grand National |
This is a car that has been lightly, 5 MPH collision, recked in the front. I was driving home from a long hard day with the cruise set on 70 and went to sleep at the wheel. I woke up just as I hit the rear of a Jeep CJ7 that was going the same way at 55 MPH. He said he thought He'd had a tire blow out! The spare tire on the back of theJeep pushed in the grille, ood, ight fenderand header panel destroying them but not even hurting the radiator or A/C condenser! After initialimpact I slid down the road ditch diagonally till the right rear of the bumper caught into the dirt and pushed up the right rear corner of the body. This wrinkled both rear quarter panels and destroyed the bumper, iller panels and tail lights. At the time I thought I'd get a rust free Regal and either transplant the running gear into it or do a body switch. That never happened so it sat for several years. I am now 71 years old and don't have the shop, quipment or skills to rebuild this car. So here's your chance to do that or use it for a donor car intoa project you may have in mind. The car now runs and drives since I dropped the gas tank, leaned it out, eplaced the fuel pump and drained all fluids, nstalled new filters on: the air intake, il, ransmission. I cleaned out the trans. pan and re-installed it with a new gasket. Re-filled all fluids and have driven it around the block several times. If you are near Kansas City you may want to drive and look at it in person. If so, all me for an appointment at: 1-573-999-0088 I am retired and so available most of the time. This is a NO RESERVE and NO B.S. auction. By that I mean it will sell to the high bidder and I will not consider any in-person offers from people who come to see it. I will tell them to go to the auction and BID. Also there will be no cancellation of the auction during it's course. I have owned and maintained this car since I bought it in Arkansas, n E-bay on 10/14/2004. Some of the documentation in the glove box shows it was previously owned by someonein Moline, l.. Beyond that I do not know. If you want you could do a Carfax on it. High bidder must make a $500.00 deposit within 24 hours of auction closing via PayPal or Cash if convenient to your location. Balance to be paid by cashiers check, oney orderor cash when picking up or in advance before I load it for delivery. I can deliver this car anywhere in the lower 48 states for $50.00 Load/unload fee and $.75 per loaded mile (one way). Mileage to your destination will be determined by aMapQuest search. |
