Description of 1987 Buick Grand National |
Warehouse find. Been off the road about 14 years. It is seemingly complete with some extras. Body has rust mostly on lower panels, few other places like top of windshield frame and trunk lid bottom. Glass all good. I made no attempt to start the car but did put a battery in. The key is stuck in the ignition switch but it does work. Door and glove box locks work with key provided. The engine does turn over with seemingly good compression. The brake system vacuum pump works. Actually everything worked (I believe) except the blower fan. Windows are slow, radio acted like the antenna was disconnected, just static. Oil looks good, no contamination, as does the antifreeze. Interior is a mix of OK and weathered/dirty. Passenger seat has a small shredded area, otherwise seats look pretty decent. Carpet as well. Headliner is gone behind T Tops. Door panels are weathered but perhaps salvageable. I do have the T Top storage bags, just not shown. Extra ignition coil packs and a few other bits. Spare and tools present. Bunch of aftermarket catalogue parts and service brochures. Lotta literature. Previous owner was apparently a pretty serious owner. I do not know if the car is stock or what? I am not well versed on these, sorry. Obviously this car needs a lot but these are pretty serious machines. It is what it is, an intense project or a heck of a parts car. Thanks for looking! |
