I have a writtenappraisalfrom Volo AutoMuseum in Volo Illinois on 9/12/2015 giving this car a value of 27,000.00.This is a 65 Riviera Gran sport Matching #s car 425 Super Wildcat with two Carter 4bbl carbs posi traction rear end LX engine code BS trans code originally a Sierra or tan color with tan interior now it is black on black and it looks cool. The gauges work the windows work the clamshell headlights work it fires on all eight and runs great ( not a smoker ). tires good brakes good exhaust good.Mileageshows 45k but I am guessing it to be 145k no AC in this car but it does have power brakes power steering power driver seat power windows tilt steering,the heater works
This car is of driver quality and the price reflects that, t has a few bubbles in the paint in typical Riviera spots, ver the wheels and where the roof meets the quarter and over the drip rail. the trunk and floor has some patches too. You can purchase reproduction panels for these areas relatively cheap. I do have the original radio for the car.
The car is priced to sell, purchased it out in Washington state and have not had it long, found a 68 Barracuda fastback that I am in love with and don't have an indispensable amount of money and or storage area for multiple cars. This Riv is bad to the bone and a very rare car, oughly 3300 of these Gran Sport models made in 65, gain its a driver not a show queen, t has nicks and bumps and bruises but nothing that you will be embarrassed about, ou can have fun with this car for many years before having to do anything to it. If you want a show car 65 Riv Gran Sport you better plan on adding about 20k to the price I am asking for my car. I am not an expert in the Riviera and I have tried my best to describe it accurately and used all 24 pics ebay would allow, found that a black car is very difficult to take pictures in detail. This is NOT a tribute or clone or whatever the buzzword is for a make fake model is. feel free to have an expert look at it.
