Description of 1971 Buick Riviera

1971 Buick Riviera GS Gran Sport 455 factory big block car in San Rafael California just 15 miles from San Francisco. Super clean and STRAIGHT car with bucket seats and console shift. Car has 93. 00 miles. See full ad below Well here it is the one car that I thought I would never sell and truly a heart breaker. but times change so I have to part with this rare and original beauty. This car is unbelievable straight and rust free. You will not find a straighter car than this one. only one repaint since new. I am the third owner. The second owner bought the car when it was only 6 years old and had it garaged all that time. Vinyl top is original and in excellent condition with no rust or tears. Pretty amazing to find a car with the original vinyl top in this good of condition. Beautiful interior with bucket seats and console shift. Dash is in perfect condition with no cracking. This is the most comfortable car that I have ever been in new or old. Buick was known for there comfort and particularly in the Riviera boatail. 1971 was the comback year for Buick since sales were dropping. This was the car everyone wanted and they still do! It is the only year with the louvered trunk lid. You will not find a more radical design than this car. 72 started to ad rubber to front bumper and smooth the lines out on the boatail. By 73 the front bumber became a monster taking away from the shark look of the front end and sharp lines of the boatail were almost gone. For some reason you can find any other year in the Riviera all day long but the 71 and a GS at that are few and far between. I have been to a million car shows and I have never seen one of these there or at any of the big auctions either Barret Jackson or Mechum. 1971 is the most sought after year and the GS model by far. The Gran Sport had more horse power and a bunch of options that I don't know off hand. but look it up and you will see what they had verses the none GS models. Runs and drives great and does not smoke at all. Incredible power for such a big carnew BF Goodrich tiresall four wheels are in excellent rust free conditionall four center caps are in excellent conditionBeautiful interior including headliner door panels seats front and back are excellentTruly a survivor carI know there are things I am forgetting now but will ad laterThanks!
