The Special was Buick's low level intermediate car from 1964 until 1969. This example was originally purchased by a doctor from Ft. Wayne. Indiana. It is currently displayed here at Texas Classic Cars of Dallas. The exterior showcases a repaint of its correct Flame Red paint while the interior has also been restored. again in red. This is an affordable collector classic that you can drive and enjoy. Recent maintenance performed includes the brakes replaced and battery replaced. The rear shocks and springs were also replaced along with the swaybar. The wheels of choice are the original 14-inch Buick rims fitted with nice 205/75R14 Whitewall Radial tires all around. We also have a matching spare wheel/tire. The body shows exceptionally well and the paint is in very good condition. All of the distinctive brightwork is intact and in great shape. including the bumper chrome. The power operated black convertible top was replaced about 2 years ago and is in great shape. We also have the convertible top boot to match. Open the doors to 1965. The interior features restored upholstery. The vinyl bench seating shows well throughout. The original gauge cluster and trim is intact throughout the dash. The dash itself is straight and shows well. The original AM Radio is intact but not working. We have the original books for this Buick. "Remember. your Buick dealer knows your Buick best. " Under the hood is the factory Wildcat 310. accessories include power steering and power brakes. The engine runs out good and is equipped with the factory breather assembly. The underhood insulation has been replaced. The engine compartment condition is really good. This car has been cared for. The firewall. inner fenders and core support display the original sheetmetal. The original trim identification plate is also intact. This is a true Flame Red car. That trim kind of reminds you of the port holes of yesteryear's Buicks. The door panels show well right and left as do the interior panels. The trunk is solid and detailed. complete with the rubber checkered mat. spare Buick whel & whitewall tire & jacking equipment. There is also a custom speaker box. easily removed. The flooring and framework is solid. Recent work performed includes brake replacement & shocks along with the rear springs.
