Description of 1967 Buick Other Factory |
The Good: New Windshield: $200Front End rebuilt with less than 50 miles: $400 Front End Alignment with less than 50 miles: $100Brand New Cooper Cobra Tires with less than 50 miles:$600 Rebuilt Transmission: T700R I believe, with less than 100 miles (Shifts Great): $1,000All Electrical repaired (couldn't figure out gas gauge although sending unit was replaced and wiring was checked): $500. Alarm system with remote door locks: $150. Older Rebuilt 340 CI Engine (Runs Excellent and goes like hell)Dual Exhaust (Sounds Great)Power SteeringPower Drum BrakesFactory AC; belt is not hooked to unit, don't know if it works.Dash is all stock. Front bench seat has been recovered (driver side seat springs are worn)Rear passenger 60/40 seat has been recoveredThird row seat is original and in very good condition Door Panels are in very good condition (Speaker Holes were cut into front panels)Bumpers are straight, chrome is still good with light traces of rust here and there Chrome is all there (has some small dings and scratches)Older GM Rally Wheels. The car appears to be straight (meaning not wrecked) with a little body filler here and there. The car has been covered since shortly after my purchase. I would say this car is sound mechanically although not perfect. I drove this car to Pacific Grove (60-70 mile round trip) and back once in a while, more often just around town for 10-15 mile jaunts. I'm older so I don't hot rod or beat my cars. The Bad: Signs of rust in some door bottoms, and in bottom and top/front of driver side fender(looks like bottom of a beer can ring), substantial but not horrible rust in spare tire well. Pinhole rust above left rear tail light and substantial rust at the back of the left rear window frame at tailgate area where chrome attaches.Rust and light to medium pitting around all Window Frames, it looks like it was rust sealed and painted overRear side frames need repair soonSome Windows leak but just need new sealsInterior is out of car and in storageChrome is off the car and in storageRear Tailgate Window Motor is old and tired (sometimes it rolls up & down, sometimes it doesn't and, it's damn heavy), I haven't messed with it because of 4 surgeries from December of 17 with my most recent being April 11, 2018.Rust in Rear Tailgate at bottom, rust in front floor panels (the cowl leaks, was going to address with blasting and body repair), the driver side should last a while, the passenger side has some holes and should be replaced sooner vs later (I sanded and rust sealed both floors a couple years ago)The headliner, insulation and carpet are out due to mold issues when I received the car; the previous owner had her stored in a barn for 13 years and the moisture was never addressed by him.The frame under the car has surface rust but I haven't noticed anything alarmingRear driver's side rim is rusted (according to America's Tire Co.) therefore the tire loses air in a few days) Timing cover gasket blew about 9 months ago. Easy fixFuel line from gas tank to engine (I think) started leaking April 1, after starting her and running her for a couple minutes; another easy fixCar still starts right up and runs; 5-10 gas pedal pumps and she fires. Engine is mostly devoid of water. I start her once every week or two and let her run for 5-8 minutes. Sta-bil was placed in the gas tank. She is currently out of gas and the battery died from the last cold spell. I bought this car for $6,500 four years ago from a person in Idaho. I paid $600 for her to be inspected and she was found to be sound. When I received delivery of the car I was shocked at the condition and started working to restore her. I was severely injured a few months after purchase which has slowed the restoration process considerably. I was getting ready to blast the car and move forward with body work/paint when the timing cover gasket blew and, in August 2017, I became injured again which has caused the four recent surgeries, one of which has disabled my left arm/hand (I'm left handed). Title is clean. I just non-opped her. You'll need to arrange shipping. Thanks for looking. Scott |
