Description of 1994 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon - Particularly Nice - NO RESERVE!

Exterior Body & Paint
Overall, I'd have to say the condition of the exterior is comparable to cars many, many years younger, let alone 24 years old as is this Buick...when I purchased the car back in 2011, the plastic fake wood around the back and sides had faded from sun damage; quite honestly, I never liked the "old man" image conveyed by the fake wood. As Roadmaster fans will already know, back in the day these wagons could be ordered from GM with what was called the 'wood delete'.However, the critical difference between this offering and a factory 'wood delete' version is that the 'wood delete' models did NOT feature the polished aluminum finishing moulding strips which surrounded the outer edges of the fake wood. ....My painter came up with the excellent idea of first carefully removing the aluminum mouldings prior to removing the fake wood, then prepping and painting the body from where the wood was removed - he then re-installed the aluminum mouldings to create the frequently admired unique look you see on this car.
So, the paint shines beautifully and stands up well to scrutiny, with the most apparent blemish being where some paint has flaked off on the top side of the left rear bumper corner [ see 4th picture]. The lower chrome mouldings are in fabulous overall condition, even allowing for a small ding in the right rear corner piece. As you can see in the last picture, this example still retains Buick's original optional aluminum wheels and hubcaps. We replaced the headlamps and grille in May 2018, resulting from another driver backing into the car.
Underbody & Chassis
Perhaps not appreciating the significance of a true 'Florida' car, a couple of folks asked about the condition of the underside of the Buick. We've just added 6 more pictures which illustrate that the underside is completely solid and rot-free. You'll see that there's a few areas of very light surface rust, which could easily be brushed off if so desired. Alternatively, if the new owner is from a northern climate, a coating of premium quality undercoating on this rust-free underside would protect this area for another 20+ years.
Mechanical
The Buick starts immediately the key is turned, and has NEVER let me down. The engine and transmission run smoothly without any smoke, and there's no funny noises! As is necessary in Florida, the A/C runs strikingly cold, and I've rarely needed to run the fan any higher than the lowest speed even in mid-Summer. As you should expect, the oil is changed regularly, and everything else is taken care of before or as the need arises. As you probably already know, ONLY 1994-1996 Roadmasters feature a version of GM's 350 cu in. LT1 Corvette engine, as this example does.Excellent tread remaining on all 4 tires.
Interior
Generally kept very nice and particularly clean. The leather seat covers are in excellent overall condition, and the only real wear is on the outside edge of the driver's seat cushion, which you can see in the 14th photograph. Buick's original carpets are also in good overall condition having been protected by floor mats. The only apparent wear to any of the carpets is underneath the emergency brake pedal. As you can also see in photographs 8, 9, 10 & 11 the rear cargo area is absolutely immaculate, as is the 3rd row of seats. The door panels are also in excellent condition, and this is illustrated in our picture of the driver's door panel/armrest which is obviously the door which sees the most use. We replaced Buick's original radio/cassette and speakers with a Kenwood Sound system with CD Player 4 years ago. Our Trim Shop replaced the entire [original] headlining in 2014, and it looks new to this day.
Having NEVER been smoked in, the whole interior has a pleasant, clean, fresh all-round ambiance - so much so that you could wear white clothes while riding in this wagon, and not get a mark on them - how often can you say that about a 24-year-old car?
