1958 Buick Limited Convertible MAGNIFICENT & RARE ! Absolutely breathtaking 1958 Buick Limited Convertible. Everything about the car is terrific and a very rare car. 1958 Buick'sare the pinnacle of 1950's chrome and design flair. These Limiteds are RARE...RARE...RARE. History Owned by one family until about 8 years ago. I have the original owner’s certificate. That owner apparently performed the restoration and passed a few years later. The car was sold at auction to a dealer whom I purchased the car from. Exterior Beautiful repaint in a silver blue which was the original color. There are essentially no blemishes in paint, chrome, glass or stainless. The car is absolutely breathtaking. This particular Buick is referred to as the most heavily chromed and flashy car ever made in the 1950’s. Modern radial tires are mounted. Interior The seats were recovered before I purchased the car. Note that two-tone seats were not standard on Model 756, but trim code 712 indicates perhaps it was custom order. Carpeting appears to match the original. I sourced original Limited fabric for the trunk in the correct color and was installed beautifully. Mechanical Engine history is known however it runs beautifully with no missing of vibrations. Starts right up even after sitting for a few weeks. Compression checks out fine. Engine compartment is all correct. Brakes all excellent with no leaks. Rebuilt Flight Pitch Dynaflow works perfectly! If you don’t know these transmissions, they are incredibly complex and parts availability is low. A local multi-decade experienced shop disassembled, inspected and resealed the unit. Undercarriage Completely detailed to absolute beauty! Also installed is a complete factory correct exhaust system. The classic “Buick Burble” sound is there! Driving The car drives wonderfully, shock absorbers are not weak and no vibrations exist. EXTRAS INCLUDED For sale seperately is acomplete original air conditioning system. Includes all mechanical components, dash controls, vents, etc. Compressor, evaporator and condenser have been rebuilt at considerable expense. This also includes all dash vents, under dash ducting, dash operational controls, and under dash and behind fender heater and condenser units. Alsoa complete original rebuilt headlight dimming system. This includes the dash mounted sensor, wiring, and proper control box that is mounted behind the left kick panel Work/Repairs Needed The foot operated starter engage switch on the carburetor is not present.
