The Buick Riviera is a personal luxury car produced by Buick from 1963 to 1999. GM's first entry into that prestige niche, the Riviera was highly praised by automotive journalists upon its high-profile debut. While early models stayed close to the original form, eight subsequent generations varied substantially over the Riviera's thirty-year lifespan. In all, 1,127,261 were produced. The Riviera was radically redesigned for the 1971 model year with flowing and dramatic "boat-tail" styling. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to... present this nice 1972 Riviera for your consideration. Finished in an attractive shade of Silver Mist Poly, this classic America personal luxury coupe is a fabulous ride. The exterior is very clean and stock and features a black vinyl roof, hubcaps with brand new whitewall tires, dual exhausts, and mudflaps. The paint is quite nice and the chrome and plastic trim is nice as well. The black interior has been very well kept and is in great shape. The split bench seat is powered and has excellent upholstery. The dash and steering wheel are very original and free of cracks or imperfections. The car is very well equipped, with power seats, power windows, power locks, air conditioning, trip odometer and much more. This nice Riviera is powered by the smooth 455cid V8 mated to an automatic transmission. Net output was 225hp, which was more than sufficient to move this large cruiser. Despite its technological advancements, sales were considerably lower than earlier models, however the 3rd generation Riviera is still a highly desirable American classic.
