Description of 1967 Buick Riviera -- |
This 1967 Buick Rivera is a luxury cruising machine, and it has been preserved to stay that way. And because this was the year for the new V8, it's great to have that big motor a numbers-matching unit. In fact, the more you dig into the details, the more you're going to discover a loaded classic at a value price. The factory-correct Arctic White paint is the perfect color backdrop for the chiseled front end, with razor-edged fenders and hidden headlights. And the tinted windows provide quite a nice contrast. 1967 was a great design that kept familiar cues from the iconic '65 Riviera, including hidden headlights, but this model year had a larger and more unique presence. This is an intricate brightwork setup with the streak running down the hood, delicate trim, and center-mounted horizontal grille bar that stretched over to the headlight doors. And all this look is complete and nice, right down to those form-fitting bumpers that look like they were recently re-chromed. Even the wheel package is looking bright and correct, and it includes whitewalls that go well with the paint. So this has a well-done and well-coordinated total look. The interior has a very 1960s-cool look to it. The leather seats with velour inserts kicks off a two-tone that coordinates with the door panels, carpeting, seatbelts, and dash. There's plenty of room for family and friends, but as a true personal luxury cruiser, the driver is always king. That's why you have a fold-down armrest for individual comfort. The dash is an exercise in both an artful presentation and driver dominance. That's why the gauge panels houses everything from the factory AM/FM radio to the cool horizontal speedometer. Power windows means you don't have to leave the driver's seat to show off the full pillarless hardtop profile, and cold-blowing factory air conditioning means you can do this in the summertime without breaking a sweat. The dark engine bay funnels your attention to the Dante red motor in the middle. And that's a good thing. Buick's 430 cubic-inch V8 was all-new for this year, and it became legendary for its massive torque production. So it's great to be able to point so easily to this numbers-matching motor in the engine bay. Topped with a remanufactured Rochester four-barrel carburetor, this big V8 moves this big Buick with the kind of power delivery that's equal parts muscle car and luxury coupe. Plus, there have been more recent investments in places like the ignition, alternator, belts, hoses, and brake booster. So it's a smooth runner that also delivers a great tune from the dual exhaust. Power steering, power brakes, and three-speed automatic transmission combine to deliver an effortless driving package you expect from an upper-class Riviera like this. This is a high style, big power, and highly authentic Buick, that will make you the hit at any cruise-in. It's a total package that you know you need to get your hands on right now. Call today!!! |
