Description of 1965 Buick Other |
This 1965 Buick Wildcat Deluxe convertible is a fairly rare example with less than 4,650 made this year. So when you have a droptop with big V8 power, an A/C interior, and a value price, it's worth your attention. These full-size Buicks had some of the best designs for the era. You get a sharply pointed front end leading the way, and the rear fenders extend beyond the body like no tailfin ever could. Plus, the chrome bumpers love to hug these unique angles. All of this shows fairly complete on this car. There is room for improvement, and the value price leaves room in the budget. And this one still has all the best details, like the sporty fender trim and Buick Rallye wheels. While the beige roof looks well-coordinated with the Shell Beige exterior paint, with the flip of a switch, the top powers down to reveal a truly distinct two-tone interior. This has a highly stock look where the brown and tan on the seats go with the door panels, carpeting, and dash to deliver a time capsule style feeling. And we especially like the design of the bright factory gauge pods. This was Buick's full-size offering so there's plenty of room for you to comfortably share the classic car experience with family and friends. Even the factory air conditioning is blowing nice and cold to keep everyone comfortable. Under the hood you'll find a 401 cubic-inch V8. This has a very honest and original presentation, right down to the Wildcat 445 callout on the air topper (that number signaled the monster torque from the V8.) Plus, you'll also spot some worthwhile newer components, like the water pump. The three-speed automatic transmission is a stout unit built to handle the torque while delivering easy cruising. Add in power steering and power brakes, and this is a true full-size boulevard machine. Rarity, V8 power, and pricing all come together on this Wildcat convertible. So take a look at a car with a ton of potential. Call today!!! |
