Description of 1940 Buick Other

Up for auction is this 1940 Buick super coupe. This is a really solid western Nebraska car. I could only find one rust through spot on the whole car on the right front rocker. shown in the pictures. The floor pans look really nice with very light surface rust as does the frame. Will be easy to clean up with very light sandblasting or even wire brush. Car is really complete. would be great one to restore. The air cleaner is missing. one rocker molding. center caps. ashtray. lighter. a couple window cranks. hood letters U K T. nbsp;and ignition keys. The right front rim trim ring is different than the other three. The car is pretty straight. I tried to take pictures of the dented spots. The roof has some hail on it. doesn't show in pictures. but not bad. The lower front valance in dented pretty bad which has one of the bottom bars on grille bowed up. should be able to bow it back once taken apart. The grille does have some light pitting on it. One hood release lever is broke off. Interior is a little ratty but all there. under the rear seat cover seat looks better. All the garnish moldings are there. The paint on the gauges has come off and is laying in the bottom of glass. so I can't read mileage. Has straight eight engine but can't get it to turn over. The engine has been closed up except for air cleaner. so wouldn't think it could be stuck too bad. Engine compartment is really complete. just air cleaner missing and coil wire. The 3 speed tranny shifts through the gears and the clutch still works. Doors open and close nice. I have tried to describe car best I can so there shouldn't be any surprises. I have enclosed a picture of one restored. what a nice looking car. I have a clear Nebraska title for it.
