Description of 1989 Cadillac Allante |
Up for auction is my 1989 Cadillac Allante' and my "Parts" car Allante' in one auction. I have owned this Allante' for 5 years now. It was a barn find that was in poor shape and I have put a lot into the car to make it 100% original and great again. Allante's are very unique cars and I have loved their look ever since I was a kid. Most of the "mechanical" parts are available for them at your local Auto Parts Stores because they shared a lot with other Cadillacs of the time. But I found sourcing other parts were difficult because when GM discontinued the car the parts just seemed to vanish. So I purchased a "parts car" that was in decent shape to use for items that I needed. The parts car is about 65% still there and I have seemed to stockpile a large amount of extra parts that will also go alone to the winner of the auction. Wife wants me to clean out the garage! The complete car is a great car that runs and drives like new. The motor runs strong and the transmission shifts great. I put in new fuel injectors, attery, lternator, ross drilled rotors and new pads front and rear, ew A/C compressor, nd I just had the car painted. Looks great on the outside and the inside... no rips or tears on the leather, nd I recently had the stitching on the seats redone. Every power option works as it should. I took the car for a 1000 mile road trip last fall before I put the car in storage and it ran great the entire trip. I would drive the car anywhere with confidence. I always get a ton of complements no matter where I go. Car is sold "as is" with no warranty and buyer is responsible for pick up. Please let me know if you have any questions. |
