This is a 1949 Cadillac Fleetwood Sedan California License Number 5ZAX680, current titled as non-operational, with current California Clean Title. VIN 496016970. The work was stopped during the build just before it was close to going on the road due to health reasons. There are numerous manuals that go with the Cadillac as well as numerous invoices for items on engine parts and rebuilding. This was an older restoration and started by the late owner to be converted to a late model Cadillac Engine with Turbo 400 Transmission and 3rd member. There are many parts in boxes that I have not looked thru that go to this project. They also did the following: · 500 ci Cadillac engine was rebuild, by Adams Metalizing & Grinding, engine rebuilder in Lancaster, CA, 661-942-9538, invoices 119411, 119197, $2370.31. Have not ran engine. Major engine parts from CAD Company, Invoice 28632 $1567.57 o Keith Black Hyperutietic Pistons 10:1, 76 cc heads, .040 o Premium Molly rings for 68-76 500ci, standard width, .040 o Camshaft, OE spec replacement cam, Cadillac performance lifters. o Timing set, Cloyes street roller set o Oil pump, SC Gold · Was told transmission is rebuilt Turbo 400 for 500ci Cadillac. Have not run transmission. · 3rd member was replaced, see photos. Do not know the gear ratio. Disc brake rear end. Need to hook up and finalize brake lines. · Independent A Arm Front suspension with a Fatman front frame clip for 49 Cadillac with custom coil over shocks for big block with sway bar. Power steering rack. See photos. · See no sign of rust beyond minor surface on bottom, chassis, engine, trunk and interior. Some minor rust inner rockers, signs its been treated, buyer to inspect. · Bumpers front and rear good condition, would be ok for a driver, minor pits. · Glass front excellent. · Glass rear excellent. · Fuel tank in back seat. · Have two new side windows in box inside car. · In Interior: o Seats inside car-condition of fabric, fair. o Radio in car as well as many dash parts that I can see. o Headliner removed, bows in car. o Door panels, see many parts no exact inventory. o Steering wheel excellent condition, no cracks apparent. · Body: (see photos) o Hood area, very good shape no apparent dents and signs of repairs. o Truck area, very good shape no apparent dents and signs of repairs. o Doors, very good shape no apparent dents and signs of repairs. Doors open and close ok. o Stainless Steel, very good most all parts in place, see photos. o Bumpers, very complete, see photos. o Front and rear lights, very complete, see photos. o Roof, no ball park franks or signs of dents and repairs. o Gutters, no signs of rust. o Paint is ok, could be touched up for a driver after repair to clip areas. · Issues: o When the front clip was removed for the fatman clip it was not fitted correctly and will need to be removed and refitted to chassis. I was told last owner had heath issues and stopped work and put it back on to sell vehicle. o The riding height has not been established front and rear and needs to adjust coil over in front and arc rear springs to bring it down to level ride. o Can be touch up painted, recommend a repaint. o Will need a rubber kit, interior, wiring kit and power window kit. · Strong points: o $4000 invested in engine including purchasing core engine thru rebuild and new parts o $3000 in turbo 400 transmission including mounts to chassis. o $2750 in 3rd member including mounts and placement. o $4500 in purchasing and installing fat man clip with power steering and coil over shocks. o Glass in good condition. o Stainless is excellent condition very complete stainless. o Painting had started on garnish moldings and interior parts, see photos. o Bumpers are there and could be run as they are.
