Description of 1955 Cadillac Other Kustom RatRod |
Up for a NO RESERVE Auction is my car which has been dubbed "The Ratty Caddy" It is a 1955 Cadillac series 62 sedan turned into a roadster. This car runs and drives good with a later model small block chevy 350 which is backed up to a turbo 350 transmission. It cruises on the freeway nicely. Clean clear Arizona Title in my name. **HIGHLIGHTS**-350 chevrolet motor out of a 1995 chevrolet silverado with 112k on it-turbo 350 Transmission-Holley intake and Carb-Aftermarket oil pressure, temperature, and voltage gauges-New Aluminum Radiator-New Master Cylinder-New Floors that are welded in and Bedliner'ed-Headlights, Turn Signals, Brakelights, Marker Lights, Courtesy Light ALL WORK as they should-New Seat Covers-New External Transmission Cooler with New Electric Fan-New Driveshaft-New Front Wheel Bearings-A Bunch of other New odds and ends.-Speedometer Works (but is off a bit)-New Exhaust (straight piped and exits through the bumper as it did originally)-New Headers-Lowered (still rides like a Cadillac)-New Fuel Pump-LED Tailights-Cadillac Valve covers resting over top the center bolt style valve covers to keep people guessing-New Hei cap, rotor, coil inside cap etc.-Bullets bolted on the stock cadillac hubcaps (front only, the rear has skirts)-Dummy spotslights THIS CAR FIRES RIGHT UP AND DRIVES REMARKABLY WELL FOR ITS AGE AND DRAWS A CROWD WHEREVER I DRIVE IT. I WOULDN'T HESITATE TO DRIVE IT DAILY AND OFTEN DO. For a better physical description please look at the pictures. It is not clear coated but is wearing its original paint that has been polished to a pretty nice luster to really show off the patina of this car. It has very little as far as body rust goes but there is a very small amount here and there but nothing major. Floors were replaced. Door structures were braced and all doors open with custom inner door handles (no outer door handles) No chips or cracks in the windshield. Car is located in Sunny Phoenix Arizona (zip code 85034 if needed for shipping purposes) I am a private seller, This is my vehicle, and the vehicle is being sold as is where is. I have no problem storing it inside for 30 days or even a little longer if you need to make shipping arrangements. Paypal deposit due within 24 hours of auction end. Remaining balance due within seven days. If you wanted to fly in and road trip it home I would be willing to pick you up at the airport (it does not have a spare tire though just saying). The title is a clean clear Arizona title in my name and is notorized and ready to go. Car is currently registered as I drive it often. Best of luck and bid to win as this is a NO RESERVE AUCTION SO HIGHEST BIDDER GETS TO DRIVE THIS BAD BOY HOME. Also, I shouldn't have to say this but if you don't intend on purchasing the ratty caddy then please do not bid. Make sure your wife is ok with it and you have the funds. My car was built in a "ratrod" fashion. It breaks necks everywhere it goes instead of breaking down because it was built to be driven and reliable. With that said it does have some minor issues but nothing that would keep you from being able to hop in and drive her wherever, whenever. Most notably the inner door panels are not attached so they rattle, the tires have good tread but are old and not balanced (no serious dry rot and I drive it on the freeway a couple times a week like this), and there is a vibration at about 65m.p.h. which I am assuming is an out of balance tire but figured I should mention it. It is also a 63 year old vehicle so please keep that in mind. There is no heater connected and no air conditioning or power steering. The huge windshield keeps wind at bay and you can still hold a conversation on the freeway with passengers without having to scream or yell for them to hear you (or talk on your phone I suppose). I posted as many pics as Ebay would allow but if you need any other pics of anything in particular dont hesitate to drop me a messege and I will get them to you. If you are local and want to take it for a test drive or inspect it let me know and I will make myself available. I will also post some videos up on you tube of it running and driving just search "reds ratty caddy" and look for them. |
