Description of 1969 Cadillac Fleetwood Formal Limousine |
Up for auction is a very nice, original, 1969 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 Series Formal Limousine now in Florida, but originally from Texas. This car has been recently taken out of long-term storage and had necessary repairs made to make it road-worthy. These repairs include new tires, hoses, belts, and front-end rebuild, battery, and fluid changes. The car runs and drives solid, but due to its age, I would not recommend driving it home in hot weather. The car has had one quality repaint and has always been garaged. The vinyl top is in excellent condition and is the rare closed rear quarter design offered on the 75 series by Cadillac since 1965. According to research, only 17 of these cars with this option were built in 1969. Also, according to the most recent owner, this car was originally from Austin, Texas in the governor's pool.
The chauffeur's compartment is in black leather, which is in excellent condition. An electric division window separates the front from the rear passenger compartment. The rear seating area has been reupholstered, for some reason, in a light gray damask fabric. Also, the rear carpeting has been changed from gray to black. Although the seating and carpeting are in excellent condition,an option is to returnthese items to their original appearance. SMS Auto Fabrics in Ganby, Oregon has the original fabric which they estimate would require 3 1/2 yards of fabricto recoverboth the rear seat and jump seats. This car has all of the power options usually included with the top-of-the-line Fleetwood 75 Series. Although the front and rear A/C systems do not currently work, they are intact and have not been modified. I am selling the car due to not having the time to give it the attention it deserves. Please ask questions through eBay and I will do my best to answer them in a timely manner. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder, but I will be happy to provide names of responsible shipping companies if you so desire. Bidders are welcome to make an appointment to inspect and drive the car. Please, bidders from the 48 contiguous United States only and with a successful eBay bidding record. A $500.00 deposit through PayPal is due immediately within noticeof the successful bid and full payment is due within 3 days. Thank you for respecting this request and good luck with bidding! |
