Description of 1956 Cadillac Other

1956 Cadillac Sedan de Ville. nbsp;4 door hardtop. nbsp;with GOOD ENGINE & TRANSMISSION!! Complete car that can be restored or used for parts. Car has been partially disassembled for restoration. front clip is off and motor/transmission are out as a single unit - the drivetrain and front clip can be set in place easily for transport. The engine and transmission are not original to the car. but came out of a 1956 Cadillac. I bought the drivetrain a couple years ago from a guy that was hot rodding his '56 Caddy and installing a 500 c. i. engine. I personally drove the car before pulling the engine. and it ran great. no smoke. no noise. and the transmission shifted perfectly. Previous owner had planned a body-off restoration so the interior was removed and braces were tack welded in place. At some point someone had either installed or attempted to install a larger engine (one story I heard was that a Cummins diesel had been fitted). and the firewall had been cut as can be seen in the pictures. All interior pieces are included. nbsp;seats. door panels. boxes of extra parts. Windshield and rear window are good. a couple side windows are cracked. Car had power windows and locks. Comes with a complete Series 62 sedan parts car with spare engine. transmission and good firewall. Lots and lots of parts - parts are worth more than I'm asking (what's a good original '56 Cadillac engine/transmission worth??? AT LEAST $1500!) but I know I'm not located conveniently for most people. Bring a double trailer. and take the beautiful drive up the north shore of Lake Superior. I'm located 90 miles NE of Duluth.
