1972 Chevelle SSThis car was built in Leeds Kansas and has the L code on the trim tag. Most everyone agrees that Kansas Super Sports all had the L on the trim tag. Plus it has disc brakes, 2 bolt rear end, S dash, ear sway bar, orrect SS wheels, ame from the factory with bucket seats and console and is red in color is a pretty good indicators that its a real SS. However without a build sheet it can not be proven. Now with that out of the way on to the car. Here is a list of the new parts on this car-- full quarter panels--3 piece trunk pan-- trunk drop offs--outer wheelhouses--front floor pans--inner fenders(bolted in for transport only) --radiator core support--all SS emblems--front grill with moldings-front and back bumpers(rechrome not cheap repos)--chrome around the wheel wells--door handles--vinyl top--carpet--package tray--side panels--headliner--and I sure other small stuff but you getthe idea. The engine is a 350 4 bolt main with 10-1 pistons- the heads are 292 angle plug-solid camshaft. The trans I have for the car is a 350, t is not in the car and should be redone and will need a 2100 to 2400 stall to work with the cam. The interior still needs door panels and seat covers. I have not installed any of the a/c heater stuff as vintage air was the idea. You can either get a firewall block off plate and just use the inside box for heat or if you want a/c you will need some parts and the engine box is cracked like all of them. The steering column is tilt and has not been detailed as of yet so I would take it out and paint it and clean the steering wheel. What the car still needs- windshield-- complete exhaust--seat covers-door panels--door and trunk lock set--front sway bar(its missing don't know why) shocks and brakes--front light harness and some odds and ends.I will Stop this auction at anytime for $14500I live about 1 hour north on Indy and the car can be seen by calling me at 765 206 0350. Also the color is no longer Cranberry Red it is Corvette Torch Red. I also haveover a pint of the paint lot for touch ups should you need it. PPG DBC. thanks Steve On Jun-23-15 at 10:31:27 PDT, eller added the following information: I reserve the right to continue to assemble the car. I am going to try to take the windshield out of my 70 and install it in the 72 as well as the fuel tank. Will post if I get these thing accomplished. Also I can poss. deliver the car for a small fee. Around 200 miles 1 way. but you must call first.
